Haley Bell, RYT-200, Owner From a very young age, Haley has cultivated a love for expressing herself through dance and movement. She took her first yoga classes at Bloom Studio years ago while on a path to healing and restoring her spiritual, physical, and emotional well-being. She was in awe of the effectiveness of practicing yoga to bring an overall sense of peace, awareness, and balance to life. Quickly, she realized her passion for self-restoration and developed an intense desire to share these benefits with others. After completing her RYT- 200 hour certification, she began her journey at Bloom Studio as an instructor. She is so grateful for her wise and inspirational teachers, Leighanne Buchanan and Juliann Cunningham. Since then, she has continued to train in pranayama, meditation, and different styles of yoga and mindful movement, and is currently enrolled to receive her 300 hour certification. With Leighanne and Whitney’s guidance and encouragement, she has now acquired her business license in the city of Lebanon, and is taking over operations as owner of Bloom Yoga Studio as of July 2022. It is a dream turned to reality to be making a career out of this passion, leading others through classes with creative sequencing, music and meditation, while continuing to learn and expand her own practice. She desires to help people with any level of experience with yoga achieve healing and inner peace by meeting the best version of themselves through movement, mindfulness, and self-appreciation.
Leighanne Buchanan, C-IAYT, E-RYT 500 Leighanne has been practicing yoga for over 35 years. She has pursued many trainings over her two decades of teaching including her certificate from the International Association of Yoga Therapists (C-IAYT). Leighanne has been dedicated to teaching asana, pranayama, and meditation since 1998. Her style is gentle enough for the beginner yet challenges the experienced yogi with variations, attention to the breath, alignment, and meditation within each pose. Leighanne teaches a variety of yoga classes including Wall Yoga. She is the director of Bloom Yoga School, an ongoing 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training. As a Christian, she encourages you to connect with God in all that you do. She is president of Yoga Society Nashville, passionate about making yoga available in our community and beyond.
Whitney R. Simpson, E-RYT 500 Whitney began practicing yoga as part of her recovery after stroke and brain surgery in 2005. She was hesitant a yoga practice could ease her chronic pain. Needless to say, she was wrong. Embracing the practices of yoga and meditation have been foundational for her recovery. Prior to completing her first yoga teacher training, Whitney received her Certificate in Spiritual Formation and Retreats. Whitney has since published two devotional books and enjoys sharing her passion for embodiment and spirituality through writing. She is an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT 500) and is trained to offer Reiki with the Usui Method of Natural Healing. Whitney enjoys creating safe space for all people on their healing journeys. Find her books, blog, and meditation podcast at www.ExploringPeace.com.
Debbie McBroom, RYT 200 Debbie discovered yoga 10 years ago as a perfect addition to her life-long commitment to fitness and well-being. Yoga practice supported her training as a triathlete and distance runner, as well as a busy mom and pre-school teacher. As an exercise enthusiast, Debbie has enjoyed all kinds of group fitness classes, but yoga found a special place in her heart for its wholistic approach to body, mind and spirit. After taking a sabbatical with her husband in 2017, she felt a yearning to help others experience the peace of sabbatical in the midst of everyday life. This inspired her to become a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200) in 2018. In addition to the restorative benefits, Debbie focuses her personal practice on building strength, balance and flexibility and is eager to help other yogis do the same.
Erin Morris, RYT 200 Erin began her yoga practice in 2017 during a difficult season of anxiety and chronic pain. She found a home at Bloom and was amazed at the way God used the practice of yoga within a safe space to bring hope and healing, both body and mind. Erin enjoys the childlike wonder she has rediscovered through yoga and has a desire to guide others into their own freedom, joy and strength. Erin completed her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training in 2020 with Steadfast and True and is thrilled to be teaching classes at Bloom, suitable for all levels of practitioners.
Toni Ross, RYT 200 Toni has a huge desire to share God’s amazing love through the physical practice of yoga. Her teacher training covered various styles of yoga through the the non-profit organization, YogaFaith. Her yoga practice and her faith help deepen her worship and allow time of stillness for meditation and listening to God. Toni loves that anyone can practice yoga and how the practice helps your mind, body, and spirit. She wants to share that opportunity with everyone. Toni continues to deepen her yoga practice and her faith by continuing her education in yoga, and teaching yoga classes. Toni is retired from Friendship Christian School and is a lifelong Lebanon native.
Debbie Franek, RYT 200 Debbie is a daughter of God the Father, a woman, then a wife, mother, grandma and holistic health practitioner. The journey to her career path began in 1992 with the desire to have the healthiest family possible. It was not only a career path but a spiritual one. After hearing the stories of many other parents, including some not so good things such as disease, obesity and more, she believed it was a prompting of God the Father which moved her to research natural health options. She is a Registered Yoga Teacher [RYT] with 15+ years of practicing yoga, and creating what she calls Boundless Movement Yoga, which glorifies The Father while strengthening and healing clients: mind, body and spirit.
